Today’s clip comes from the greatest television show of all time, The West Wing.

This is just how I’m feeling today:

Movie Clip of the Day

I know I’ve complained about this again but video pirating on YouTube not being what it used to be. Anyway today’s clip is super duper uper exciting for me. And I wanted just the part beginning at 3:30 but you’re going to get what was available – all equally awesome and exciting and all part of the purpose of this glorious day.

Movie Clip of the Day

Today’s comes from Nine starring my new favorite actress Marion Cotillard. This is my favorite part of the movie and I freaking LOVE this song!

“It’s time to leave if I’m to live, because I have no more there’s nothing left to give.”

Love it!

Movie Clip of the Day

Wednesday rocked. It really did. I was starting to feel like myself again, school was just about done and then Thursday happened. I’m not reliving it here but it ends with Alexandria being declared a State of Emergency.

From Father of the Bride Part 2, George Banks sums it up perfectly, “It was like that old joke, ‘All those who think they have it made take one step forward…not so fast George Banks!’”

The clip is terrible but it gets the job done.

Life at the Ballpark

Spoiler alert – I love baseball. Love love love it. Sadly, I’ve only made it to three games this year. Even sadder, they’ve all been Nationals games and I haven’t been to the Bronx since last September. Most depressing of all – the Nationals lost every game.

Even so, I’ve seen some great baseball. First, I went on June 18 and saw the pitching phenom here to save the game of baseball (aka Stephen Strasburg). He pitched a solid game (7.0 IP, 1ER, 4H, 0BB, 10K & an MLB record 32ks in the first 3 starts). But, alas, the bullpen blew it. I think everyone was nervous because President Obama was there to cheer on his White Sox.

Game two was the 4th of July. (Seriously, could I love America anymore?)  I would love to tell you it was a fantastic game but it was 9,000 degrees out (ok more like 100 but that’s hot). Good times with good friends but not very memorable baseball.

And then back to the awesome seats a few weeks ago to watch another loss. Oh well, good times, good friends, amazing seats.

So that is my super brief Life at the Ballpark mini-review. If you haven’t made it to a game yet – what are you waiting for? I know the picture make it look empty but this one was pregame and it was 9000 degrees and a holiday. And the sweet one up top of Zimm’s butt, well people were sitting in the cheap seats not the expensive ones.

Movie Clip of the Day

So for those of you who don’t know – part of the reason I’ve been neglecting the blog is because I’ve been hard at work completing my Capstone Final. The project was to work with a client with a communications challenge. Naturally, I picked the biggest one on in the country and selected the American League of Lobbyists, whose communication issue is – everyone hates them. I won’t give you the details but it is the inspiration for the movie clip of the day…

Today’s clip is the trailer to Bagman, the story of Jack Abramoff (who was NOT registered and was NOT a member of the ALL). Basically my plan and clients are nothing like him so it is the anti-inspiration :) Enjoy
